Am I a Monster? A guided narrative reconstruction for the feared self in OCD

Am I a Monster?

It's the question underneath everything. Every intrusive thought, every compulsion, every check -- all of it is really that one question running on a loop.

This exercise traces the question back to where it started. Not to argue with it. To find out who put it there, and whether the evidence holds up.

Take your time with each question. A gentle timer will let you know when it's ready to move on -- but you're in charge of when you go. Your answers stay on this screen only and are never stored or shared.

Take as long as you need -- or continue when you're ready.

This story was handed to you. You didn't write it. It was written under conditions that had nothing to do with who you actually are.

The story that's actually true

No. You are not a monster.

The feared self was a story someone else started. You've been carrying it ever since. Now you've seen where it came from -- and you've written a different ending in your own words.
